while procrastinating

**updated**

My pet Choochi is now up to level 25, a Megastart Pet! wohoo!

*-*-*-*

I still plan to pursue the swimming classes, but I haven't set a date yet.

So while I'm having an easy time at work and nothing to do at home, I waste my time on playing Pet Society at Facebook. My sister was the one who introduced me with the game. I'm not a big gamer but I tried to play it and somehow enjoy it.
You have to have an account in FB to play the game, PS is one of the many applications you can play there. PS has an easy game play, definitely nothing complicated but as you level up, its tiring to earn paw points and gold coins. Basic goal is to level up and earn as many gold coins to spend on the shop and food of the pet. Its also nice to see more rooms being given as you level up, you can decorate them however you want which really depends on the budget. The game is cute but limited. It has limitations when it comes to the games the pet can play, making everything repetitious.

My pet's name is Choochi. I got the name from one of our very first neighbor. She actually calls me that way, her very sweet way, and I like it. I've been playing for more than a week now, and I'm currently a "Hollywood Pet". From that level, I have to earn 4000 freaking paw points before I go up another level. I've got a pink house with 5 rooms. My default room is my pet's pink bedroom. Then I also have a green room with casual couches and all my trophies. My red room is also my T.V room, and I plan to put a fireplace there too. The 2 other rooms are not yet decorated, because I'm still broke at the moment.

How do I earn paw points and gold coins? I learned them on my own and i try to be good at them. Here are some of what I do:

  • Join Hurdles Race, if you win you have 30 gold coins + 20 paw points. For 2nd and 3rd place, though you dont win any gold coins, you get 10 and 5 paw points respectively. You can only race 10 times per day, so better maximize it.

  • Join Hurdles Practice, you dont earn gold coins (but if you click on those banana's along the way, you might get 1 to 3 coins). what you earn here are the paw points: 20 for 1st place, 10 for 2nd and 5 for the 3rd.

  • Keep on playing the ball, the frisbee and the rope. I've got the gold trophies for the ball and frisbee, silver on the rope. Winning trophies will give you hundreds of points and coins.

  • Get lucky on the lottery, win as much as 500 coins each day. =)

  • Visit your friends everyday, the first time you visit them on a day, they would give you 20 coins + 5 paw points. So better have lots of friends playing PS. Or visit other pets in the cafe. They also give out 5 paw points each when you dance, hug, kiss, watch tv, tell them jokes or even when you had a fight with them. And when you see a stinky or unhappy or hungry pet, bathe or brush or feed them and they give you coins and points in return.

  • Stroll around the neighborhood, there are coins hidden on the trees.

  • That's about it! Enjoy!

I hope to see you around PS! ♥♥♥

first brave step

I already inquired with Blss at Ace this morning. Now, I would have to decide on when will I start. Im thinking, the earlier the better. The earlier means less anxiety, less time to back out, and more courage to focus. =)

swimming lessons at 23

This post will serve as my "covenant" in taking swimming lessons now that I am 23 turning 24 this year. I always wanted to learn swimming, it's so frustrating that I was not born with that natural strokes in water considering I am a water sign. It must not have anything to do with astrology anyway. And it's never late to acquire swimming skills. Though as years passed without having to learn how-to swim, my anxiety level is so high that I couldn't get myself to take the necessary steps to start.

I've decided to take classes since I dont know anybody close enough who can teach me for free, plus I dont have any free pool access. I hope I would really learn at the end of a 10-hr class at Blss, or else I would be drowning 5k with me, that's going to be bad.

Today, I will have to pick up the phone and ring Blss at Ace Water Spa. I had to choose between them and Blss at Assumption College in Makati, but since Im from QC area, I chose the one in Ace. I tried to do a little online check on both places but I ended up with just the existence of the two, nothing really about the experience of those who had lessons there. So I would have to cross my fingers that I will learn at least the basics - and I honestly dont know what the "basics" technically are. Im hoping to learn floating and freestyle.
